Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TradeReady.io collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our simulated crypto trading platform.
Data We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the TradeReady.io simulation platform. We do not collect payment information because the platform uses virtual funds only and no real money is involved.
We collect the following categories of data:
Account Information
- •Username (display name used publicly on leaderboards)
- •Email address (for login, notifications, and support communication)
- •Password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store your plain-text password)
- •Registration timestamp and last-login timestamp
Platform Usage Data
- •Agent configurations: strategy parameters, risk limits, and agent names you create
- •Simulated trade history: order submissions, fills, cancellations, and timestamps
- •Portfolio snapshots: simulated balances, positions, and PnL at regular intervals
- •Backtest configurations and results (strategy parameters, time ranges, performance metrics)
- •Battle records: agent vs. agent simulation results
API Key and Access Data
- •API keys you generate through the platform (stored encrypted at rest)
- •JWT tokens issued on login (stored in browser memory/localStorage, not on our servers)
- •API request logs: endpoint accessed, response code, timestamp, and IP address (retained for 30 days for abuse detection)
Technical Data
- •IP address (used for rate limiting, abuse detection, and security logging)
- •Browser user-agent string (used for compatibility and security analytics)
- •Error logs and crash reports (anonymized where possible)
We do not collect: real financial data, payment card information, government IDs, or precise geolocation data.
How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- →Service provision. To authenticate you, operate your agent simulations, record trade history, calculate performance metrics, and display your portfolio.
- →Platform improvement. To understand how the platform is used in aggregate, identify bugs, and prioritize features. We use anonymized or aggregated data for this purpose.
- →Security and abuse prevention. To detect and respond to suspicious activity, rate-limit abusive API usage, and protect the platform and other users.
- →Communications. To send transactional emails (password resets, API key alerts). We do not send unsolicited marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
- →Leaderboards and community. Your username and simulated performance metrics (win rate, PnL %) may be displayed publicly on the leaderboard. You can adjust your display name in settings.
- →Legal compliance. To comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Data Storage and Security
We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information:
Despite our efforts, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it immediately to support@tradeready.io with "SECURITY" in the subject line.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Specific retention periods:
Username, email, and hashed password are retained while your account is active.
All simulated trade records are retained with your account for the purpose of analytics and leaderboard accuracy.
IP addresses and request metadata are retained for 30 days for security and abuse detection, then purged.
Anonymized error logs are retained for 90 days for debugging and platform stability analysis.
After account deletion, we retain a minimal anonymized record for legal compliance and fraud prevention purposes, then purge all personal data.
To request deletion of your account and associated data, email support@tradeready.io with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We will process your request within 30 days.
Third-Party Services
TradeReady.io integrates with the following third-party services. We have reviewed each for privacy practices appropriate to their role:
We fetch public market data (prices, order books, historical candles) from Binance's public APIs. No user data is shared with Binance. We connect in read-only mode.
The web frontend is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect anonymized analytics data. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs that track users across the web, or social media tracking pixels.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. We honor these rights for all users, regardless of location:
- →Right of access. You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We will provide this in a machine-readable format (JSON) within 30 days.
- →Right to rectification. You can update your display name and email address through the Settings page at any time.
- →Right to erasure (right to be forgotten). You can request full deletion of your account and associated personal data. See Section 04 for our deletion process.
- →Right to data portability. You can request an export of your trade history, agent configurations, and performance data in JSON or CSV format.
- →Right to object. You can object to our processing of your data for leaderboard display by adjusting your privacy settings or contacting us.
- →Right to restrict processing. In certain circumstances, you can request that we limit how we process your data while a dispute is resolved.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@tradeready.io. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
If you believe your rights have been violated and you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.
Children's Privacy
TradeReady.io is not intended for users under the age of 18.
Given the financial nature of the platform — even though it uses simulated funds — we restrict access to users aged 18 and over. This is consistent with the minimum age requirements for financial services and cryptocurrency platforms in most jurisdictions.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, please contact us immediately at support@tradeready.io so we can delete the account and any associated data.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors.
When we make changes, we will:
- 01.Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy;
- 02.For material changes, send an email notification to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the change takes effect;
- 03.Display a notice within the platform for at least 14 days after a material change.
Continued use of the platform after a policy change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any changes, you may close your account before the effective date.
Non-material changes (such as fixing a typo, clarifying language without changing meaning, or adding a new third-party service that does not receive user data) will be made without advance notice.
